- 1Prepare the source
Confirm rights, classification, filename, audio, captions plan, and highest appropriate source quality up to the configured limit.
- 2Open Studio Upload
Select the intended creator channel and review the active upload configuration.
- 3Select one file
Start the resumable upload and keep the browser open while progress is active.
- 4Enter metadata
Add a clear title, description, visibility, tags, thumbnail, and other required settings.
- 5Wait for processing
Do not upload duplicates while transcoding or status polling is incomplete.
- 6Review playback
Check picture, audio, seek behavior, thumbnail, captions if available, and metadata before publication.
Expected result
One processed video exists in Studio with reviewed playback and deliberate visibility.
Update or retire a video
Use Studio to change metadata, visibility, or lifecycle state without losing track of the publication.

Live publishing is externally visible and requires a rehearsal, monitored ingest, moderation, and a clear end state.
Create and run a live stream
Configure the stream, test ingest, monitor the event, and close it deliberately.

Select Create and confirm the intended channel.
- 2Configure the event
Set title, description, schedule, visibility, chat, DVR, and recording or VOD behavior where available.
- 3Protect ingest details
Copy RTMP or other ingest configuration only into the approved encoder; treat stream keys as secrets.
- 4Run a private rehearsal
Verify audio, video, latency, overlays, failover plan, and moderation before public start.

Confirm live status, player health, chat, and viewer-facing metadata throughout the event.

Stop the broadcast and ingest, then review final status and any generated VOD.

Known limitations
Read before relying on an unsupported workflow
These limits describe the source-pinned Lumina 1.0.0 scope and must be rechecked when the product changes.
- The lumina-v2 source is preview-only and not cut over; this manual follows the live v1 source.
- Upload file type, size, and processing limits are returned by the active service and may vary by tenant.
- Subscriptions and some personal library views can be empty or partially populated depending on backend support.
- Live chat, DVR, VOD creation, comments, clips, analytics, and monetization depend on stream and tenant configuration.
Troubleshooting
You cannot sign in to Lumina
Likely cause: The session expired, the identity is not assigned to the application, or the tenant claim is missing.
- Open the application from the approved portal and complete sign-in again.
- Confirm that the correct organizational identity and tenant are selected.
- If access is still denied, record the time and request an entitlement check from support.
A documented action or navigation item is not visible
Likely cause: The current role, release, tenant configuration, or feature flag does not expose that operation.
- Confirm the role and prerequisites listed for the procedure.
- Reload the page after signing in again; do not attempt to bypass the interface through direct URLs.
- Ask the product owner whether the feature is enabled for the tenant before reporting a defect.
A saved change or background operation is not visible
Likely cause: Validation failed, processing is still running, or the current view is stale or filtered.
- Review inline validation, status indicators, filters, and the selected tenant or workspace.
- Refresh once and search for the item by its stable name or identifier.
- Do not repeat irreversible or externally visible actions until the original operation status is known.
An upload stalls or processing does not finish
Likely cause: Connectivity interrupted resumable upload, the format or size is unsupported, or the processing service failed.
- Keep the original file and record the upload or video ID.
- Check the Studio status before starting another upload.
- Resume when offered or escalate with sanitized status details.
A live stream does not become playable
Likely cause: Ingest is absent, the stream is not started, credentials or encoder settings are wrong, or playback generation is delayed.
- Confirm encoder connection and expected ingest endpoint without exposing the stream key.
- Review Studio stream status and visibility.
- Stop and escalate rather than publishing repeated test streams to the audience.

- A repeatable Lumina error blocks an approved workflow
- Expected data, permissions, or tenant boundaries appear incorrect
- A security, privacy, compliance, or data-loss concern is suspected
- A stream key or private link may be exposed
- A published video or stream is visible to the wrong audience
- Processing or live playback blocks an approved event
Include
- The page, action, and expected result
- The exact error text and time of occurrence, including time zone
- Your tenant, role, browser, and a sanitized record or item identifier
- Whether the problem can be reproduced and which troubleshooting steps were tried

- Passwords, access tokens, API keys, recovery codes, or session cookies
